April 29, 2017 – CVAF staff, along with other members of the community, volunteered in the Veterans Services area of the first Convoy of Hope in Bakersfield.

Convoy of Hope is a humanitarian organization that has helped millions of people all over the world by sharing food, water, emergency supplies, agricultural know-how, and opportunities that empower people to live independent lives, free from poverty, disease and hunger.

June 5, 2017 –  CVAF Staff participated in the Walk for Kids 5k at the CALM museum in Bakersfield.  It was sponsored by the local Ronald McDonald House.  Even though it was toasty outside, CVAF is always happy to help with a good cause!

May 19, 2017 – We had a great turn out for our first Rural Veteran Mental Health Symposium. Swords to Plowshares were amazing presenters, and we love the the flow of information. We can’t wait to continue the discussion on this important topic in the future.

September 18, 2017 –  CVAF honored Constitution Day by passing out pocket constitutions to the entire staff.  Thanks to Congressman McCarthy’s Office for providing the mini constitutions!
